Services

We can help you work toward your goals by evaluating important areas within your total financial picture.

Help For Your Unique Needs

Every person is different, so developing a financial plan of action needs to consider that uniqueness. Your individual situation may require one or more of the following areas of service as your life changes. We’ll recommend the appropriate service at the appropriate time.

Financial Planning

No matter what stage of life you are in, it’s important to make sure you are following a strategy to help get you where you want to go. We’ll help you organize your financial matters in a way that makes sense to you and presents a map to minimize obstacles and utilize opportunities to reach your goals. By evaluating your current situation and listening to where you’ve been and where you want to go financially, we can propose realistic and practical strategies to help work towards attaining both near-term and long-range financial success.

Investment Analysis and Strategy

It’s important for our clients to understand how each piece of their financial picture fits into their vision. We’ll analyze each segment of your finances, but in a holistic fashion. We’ll then determine if and how to re-allocate your portfolios across different asset classes. The goal is to ensure you are not over-weighted or under-weighted in certain areas, or are altogether missing some investment opportunities. We want each piece of your portfolio to work together towards meeting all of your unique needs.

Retirement Planning

It’s never too early to start planning for retirement, and it’s also never too late. No matter what stage of your working career you happen to be in, we can help you develop a strategy.  It is our belief that through consistent investing for the long-term in a diversified portfolio, regular reviews of where you stand and making adjustments, you will have the best chance of avoiding mistakes and getting to where you want to go.

Legacy Planning

It’s always a good idea to look at your financial picture more broadly than simply income, expenses, and retirement. Ensuring that you have fully prepared your financial matters for unforeseen circumstances and considered the needs of those around you may also be an important issue for you. We can review your will and estate plans with your other professionals in the context of your current finances to help you plan for your life and the future lives of those important to you.

Education Saving

With post-secondary education costs climbing dramatically, we always recommend to our clients, just like retirement planning, to start early. There are now several ways to build up an education fund for children to reduce the need for student loans.  Whether you envision trade school, two-year, four-year, or post-graduate expenses, we can assist in positioning your finances to minimize education sticker shock.

Risk Exposure Analysis

Much of what we do for our clients is to understand, explain, and manage risk. Evaluating each client’s particular risk exposure is important in order to manage total financial risk.  We will review your insurance coverage to ensure there are no unmanaged risk exposures that could be a detriment to you reaching your financial goals.

Tax-Aware Strategies

Taxes always take a seat in the arena. We can help you plan ahead to manage future tax liabilities through a variety of strategies. We don’t like to leave any stones unturned, regardless of income, assets, charitable inclinations, and legacy planning. We can recommend ways to help you minimize your tax burden.

Our Investing Philosophy

We believe in a disciplined approach that attempts to maximize long-term client returns given their time horizon, and tolerance and capacity for risk. The underpinnings of our analysis is based upon the premise that asset allocation is the primary determinate of long-term investment risk. We incorporate the mean-variance optimization process developed by Nobel prize laureate Harry Markowitz.  We also provide options for overlaying Environmental, Social, and corporate Governance (ESG) screens for sustainable investing portfolios.
